Quick Casting

Quick Casting allows you to instantly create an overlay from a predefined template, known as a blueprint. It’s the fastest way to launch common overlays with working visuals, behaviors, and configuration options already set up.

What is a Blueprint?

A blueprint is a packaged template that includes:

  • Prebuilt HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • A GUI configuration schema
  • Optional default images, sounds, or animations

Blueprints are ideal for quick-deploy overlays like alerts, shoutouts, and counters.

Quick-cast overlays are fully editable after creation.

How to Quick Cast

  1. Navigate to The Forge
  2. Click Quick Cast from Blueprint
  3. Choose a blueprint from the available list
  4. Select the user to create it for (if you have admin access)
  5. Enter a name for the overlay
  6. Click Quick Cast

You’ll be redirected to the view page for the new overlay.

Example: Basic Alert

The included Basic Alert blueprint provides:

  • A transparent background
  • Fade animation for entry/exit
  • Configurable text and image fields

This serves as a simple alert that can be expanded or styled to match your stream’s theme.

When to Use Quick Casting

  • You want to get started quickly
  • You don’t need to design from scratch
  • You want a clean, editable foundation with configuration already wired up
