User Profile & Admin Roles
AlertForge lets users manage their profile, link multiple accounts, and assign access to collaborators via role-based invites.
My Profile
Your profile page includes:
- Display Name – Shown throughout the app
- Account Creation Date
- Option to Update Name
You can access this page from the top-right dropdown → My Account
Linking Additional Accounts
Users can link supported accounts (e.g. Google, Twitch) to their AlertForge profile.
- Click Link Another Account from the top-right menu
- Choose the provider (e.g. Google)
- You'll be redirected to authenticate and link the new account
Linked accounts allow overlays to reference services like YouTube or Twitch under the same user.
Admin Roles & Permissions
Users can grant admin or editor roles to others using one-time invite codes.
Accessing Admin Settings
- Go to My Account → Admin Panel (visible only to owners)
- From here you can:
- Generate Admin Invites
- Track usage/redeemed status
- Revoke access at any time
Roles Explained
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to overlays and settings |
| Editor | Can view and modify overlays, but not manage roles |
Inviting Someone
- Click Generate New Admin Invite
- Select a role
- Copy the code and send it to the person you want to invite
- Once redeemed, they gain access to your overlays and settings
Invites are one-time use only and will show as “Used” once claimed.
Managing Permissions
You can only create overlays for users who have granted you Admin access. These options will appear in dropdowns like:
- Cast Overlay
- Quick Cast
- Upload Overlay
